Our clients asked us to work with their creative teens to come up with an updated color palette for their rooms. We enjoyed the process and our clients are thrilled with the results. Walls were painted, new ceiling fans installed, new furniture purchased, and some re-used. We also changed the window treatments to simple modern white shades. We still need to add art and other accessories, but wanted to show some of the drastic changes.
Here's one of the rooms. We removed the closet doors reused the bookcase. The bunkbed and rug were removed.
The teen chose a saturated color palette. One of the things we often tell clients is that there are many many paint colors. In most cases, it's better to choose the paint colors last, so that you have the opportunity to have it correlate with bedding or a rug, which are far less easy to find.
We plan to hang a fun beaded curtain here. More on that in another post!
The space above the desk will get a custom pin board.
