Closet Rescue

I wanted to share this because it was a really easy "thinking-by-the-seat-of-your-pants" kind of solution. Our client has a closet with too much in it and too little organization. First we pulled all the boxes and piles of clothes out of the closet so we could see what kind of space we had,  and figure out what we could use to organize clothes and shoes. We then corralled some storage solutions from other parts of the house that were not being well used. The wire drawers fit well underneath the hanging pants and can hold socks, underwear and tee-shirts well.

The cubbies were perfect for shoes and sweatshirts and pants (like jeans and weekend khakis). It also is the right height for capturing all that space under the hanging shirts.

The key to this project was to completely clear out the space and then load it back in with lots of thought and purpose.  While you are doing this, it is the perfect opportunity to pull out things that either don't belong, don't fit, or aren't used.

Set a timer for 45 minutes, put on some good music, and challenge yourself!
