Breakfast Smoothies . . . YUM

Even though it's cold outside my kids still ask for smoothies for breakfast or as an after school snack. I love it because you can make it sweet without using any sugar or honey - as long as you have over-ripe bananas you're good. I use greek yogurt because its so high in protein, milk, vanilla, a combination of fresh and frozen fruit and coconut oil. Frozen mangos add a lot of sweetness and make the smoothie nice and thick. If your kids don't mind green smoothies then adding a couple handfuls of baby spinach is a great idea too.  And these smoothies are not just for kids! If you don't want all the dairy try coconut water, banana, spinach and frozen fruit. There are so many different ways to make a great smoothie - try a few tablespoons of a nut butter for protein. Create your own favorites and enjoy!
