It all starts with a paint chip! In this case, I was switching my kids' rooms, and painting over a cool medium denim blue. I used Pink Punch, and I invested in Benjamin Moore Aura eggshell finish, a bit pricy, but worth it, as it went on like a dream. I only had to apply two coats, and no primer. Sometimes, the prep work is the hardest and most time-consuming.
This last picture was taken in the evening, when the window treatment, rug, and mini chandelier had been put in place. Then I went to work on a small gallery wall on the left side of the room.
I'm not quite finished, but you get the picture. The intent is to leave space along the bottom for future creative endeavors! I like filling a space like this, where there are easy boundaries on the wall, between two doors. It just makes it a bit easier.
