At the end of last week, my back wall was reduced to bare cinder blocks. My how things change in a week!
This group of pictures show the back wall with the new header installed, before the masons came to do their work.
Here's a quick peek at the removal of the sliding glass door and window to the left. Love that view!
Then they bricked it back up and patched it to make way for the new window opening. Our new exterior door will be to the left of the window. The plan is for simple lower cabinets along the back, underneath this window opening. Can't wait for all that natural light!
Then all was framed and drywall installed.
They were able to reuse all the brick on the new portion below the window!
This is going to be awesome. Next up :: windows installed, new wood floors installed, and then the pretty stuff goes in:)
