Hot Weather Snack

Frozen dark cherries are a wonderful food. They are high in vitamin A and C, plus fiber and protein to keep you feeling full and they also have anti-inflammatory properties. Eating cherries and drinking cherry juice helps you to sleep better due to the melatonin naturally found in cherries. They are great frozen as a simple snack right out of the freezer. Add them to smoothies frozen or pop in the microwave to partly defrost and then add to hot cereal in the morning. YUM. I am eating a bowlful right now!
