On a recent afternoon after school my 12 year old was pinning for a snack but could not hit on a single item to eat - usher in the Sample Platter!
I gave little bits of a bunch of foods :: veggies, fruit, nuts, dried fruit and cheese. You could add popcorn, crackers, or a hard boiled egg. She is thrilled with this every time and seems to stay full and satisfied longer. Happily I am not turned into a late afternoon diner waitress! Win win situation.
