My sister found this dresser on Craigs List and she grabbed it for her bedroom, based on size and price. She removed the drawers and hardware and stripped all the white paint off the wood. This took many hours! She then sanded to achieve a smooth surface to accept new stain.
Together, she and I applied the new walnut stain to the dresser and drawers with a soft cloth. We did two coats, and then applied a satin-finish polyurethane. She wanted to re-use the hardware.
The final look ::: a reclaimed, rustic piece of furniture for her new bedroom!
