Sneak Peek: Closet Nirvana in a Kids Room

A couple of weeks ago, we showed you a friend's amazing bathroom transformation.  Now we are sharing some "before/after" pics from one of her daughter's rooms.  She mainly tackled two areas:  the paint and the closet.  She first painted the room a pretty blue and embellished it with whimsical flowers.  She removed the closet doors (which I am a big fan of!) and installed a cute curtain instead.  It softens the look and makes it easier for kids to access their stuff -- plus it adds a bit of fabric and helps to solve the problem of closet door clearance into the room.

After living with that for awhile, she completely changed the look of the room.  Painted a softer blue, embellished with sweet dragonflies, and removed the curtain entirely.  The room enjoys tons of natural light with all the windows and is such a cheery place.

And the closet storage is magnificent.  She completely changed the interior fittings to make it work for her family.  This place packs a storage punch, for sure!  If the closet door is off, it allows you to make the most of the space you have and even have space for treasures -- note the framed photos and favorite books.
